HERITAGE MICA DAYS VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
Jane Irwin is a long-time volunteer with the Friends of Murphys Point and the Heritage Mica Days. She loves meeting and interacting with festival visitors and is a fabulous ambassador! Jane has worked diligently to source out heritage costuming at affordable prices and has been known to dye an old dress to bring it back to life. Her sewing skills and creativity have been a great resource as she has helped to outfit volunteers and park interpreters in heritage dress. Jane’s other volunteer contributions include helping at trade shows, working at pancake brunches and helping with the set up and tear down for Heritage Mica Days events. She loves the outdoors and spends time hiking and camping at the park every summer. Jane lives in Smiths Falls with her dog Murphy, named of course after the park.
