This month we celebrate and recognize two volunteers that come as a pair. Lynn McFarlane and Dave Kent live in Ottawa and have been travelling to Murphys Point to volunteer with Heritage Mica Days for the past four years. They brought their collection of heritage games into our festival activities in 2010 and these popular games continue to this day. In addition, in 2013, Dave introduced us to the art (and fun) of rope bridge building and we will enjoy this activity on Canada Day 2014. Lynn began her story reading sessions last year and we are looking forward to welcoming her back in this capacity this year. Lynn and Dave are also excellent greeters at the Silver Queen Mine Open House and enjoy dressing in their heritage costumes. Thanks for all your enthusiasm and many contributions Lynn and Dave!
